Partying on Brighton Pier with ChoccywoccyDooDah!
So we’re gonna come right out and say it – we were invited to the Choccywoccydoodah party at Horatio’s bar on Brighton Pier last Friday, and if someone else had told us that, we’d be insanely jealous, so we reckon it’s probably something pretty special! And as soon as we arrived, we knew it really WAS something special. Why we were invited is a bit of a secret at the moment, but all will be revealed in due course!
We wandered around the bar in amazement, discovering ever more fantastic cakes, from a gothic bust to a rose encrusted skull. Every now and then a burlesque-clad girl topped with a cake hat or lollipop wig would offer us delightful chocolatey treats, as we edged our way through the crowd towards the giant pin-up girl sculpted entirely from chocolate and waving her hand, as if beckoning the hordes to the sweet treasures below. And what treasures they were, with retro sweets and chocolate novelties in their thousands, a sugary mountain to keep everyone excitable and hyperactive! We managed to tear ourselves away from this wondrous candy buffet (after having a nibble or two of course!) and discovered a queue, at the end of which were fortune tellers, in rollers, ready to delve into the future, perhaps to say that finger-licking fish and chip cones were on their way!
Of course, this is the kind of event you want to share, and we were lucky to be there with the oh-so-lovely Joyce from Brides and Beauty, Kat and Gareth from Rock’n'Roll Bride, Georgina from Ruby Weddings and Paula from Paula Rooney Weddings and Events. Great company, and a great event – thanks so much to Christine and everyone at Choccywoccydoodah for putting on such an incredible evening!

The camera turned on us…
