A Polka Dot Wedding Bursting With Fun & Personality at Brighton Bandstand | Quirky Sussex Wedding Photography

Last September, we were asked to photograph Vicks and Tony’s gorgeous Brighton wedding, and whisked the couple off to Brighton Bandstand for some beautiful shots of the two of them. A few weeks later, we met an incredibly excited Andy & Nicky, who had set their sights on the Bandstand for their ceremony – fantastic, right?! With the most amazing ideas including a red white and black  polka dot theme, band-on-stilts the Top Bananas and a cute button bouquet, this was truly a feast for the eyes! A beautiful ceremony (featuring one of the most passionate kisses we’ve yet seen!) was followed by a trip in the Big Lemon Bus to The Terraces Bar and Grill, overlooking Brighton’s Palace Pier, where yet more lovely details awaited – Lego cake-toppers, swathes of balloons and mismatched table centre-pieces. Check it out…

Unfortunately on such a wet and windy day, our planned promenade along Brighton seafront was a wash-out, so instead we made a date for a Treasure the Dress shoot when Andy and Nicky returned from their honeymoon. Luckily, we were greeted with a gorgeous evening, and with well-wishes flying in from onlooking passers by, the cute couple really made the most of this opportunity to don their wedding attire once again!

To the two of you, we loved every minute we spent photographing you, your family and friends, and wish you all the happiness in the world for the future!

A Magical Anniversary Treasure the Dress Shoot on Eastbourne Seafront | Wedding Photography in Sussex

When Clare and Tim contacted us to ask if we were available for a Treasure the Dress shoot, we could never have imagined what a great day it would be. Surely the ultimate way to celebrate their first year of marriage, this gorgeous couple arrived late on a sunny but rather windy day determined to make the most of this opportunity, having had less time than expected for couples shots a year ago to the day in Leicestershire.

One quick change later, and wedding invitation designer Clare emerged in her stunning Alfred Angelo dress, set off perfectly by a corsage made by her sister-in-law Emily, who has her own Etsy shop Cupcakes and Corsages. With Tim looking dashing in his Bond-esque tux, we headed for Eastbourne seafront, winding our way towards the Wishtower, and making the most of the gorgeous light as the sun dipped ever lower behind us.

As it dropped below the hill we made our way to the top of Beachy Head, where the glorious views and setting sun really complemented the romanticism of Clare’s dress, and brought out Clare and Tim’s tender side. Oh, and have we mentioned the car yet? Tim’s pure white Triumph Herald, which he used to drive to the ceremony on their wedding day, and the perfect prop for the shoot!

We had such a great time, and it was so lovely to meet Clare and Tim and see how happy they are together. And it makes us feel so proud when we receive such a delightful response: “Oh my gosh, they are so beautiful. They are exactly what I was hoping for- and more!!! Choosing one will be impossible- I think we shall just *have* to order several…” Thank you both so much for letting us share your anniversary and we’re so glad we did!

This shoot was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings!

Photography for the Stars | Commercial Photographers in London

On Saturday we saw what we later discovered to be the largest moon for many years as we returned from a day shared with some of the stellar lights of the wedding world! Every now and then, an opportunity to share in something really special comes along and you absolutely must make the most of it. This stunning collaboration blended some of the most jaw-dropping dresses, jewellery, cakes and beautification at the utterly fabulous Stoke Place in Buckinghamshire – and we thought we’d throw in a sneak peek of the results before the full post!

We really wanted to put together some behind-the-scenes photos, showing not just the hard work and concentration of everyone involved, but also the moments of relaxation (and giggles!). So who were these lovely peeps forming such a spectacular team?  Alice & her sister, Juliana – models, Andrew – Creatiques, Holly – Stoke Place,   Jon – Jon Keith Diamonds, Louise – Louise Hair & Makeup, Rebecca – Chez Bec and Tina - Sprinkles & Swirls. We’ll be sharing so much more about the fabulous crew in the full post, so for now we leave you with the behind-the-scenes footage…

We absolutely loved spending the day with such utterly dedicated, thoroughly professional and brilliantly creative people, who give those special touches that finish off your perfect wedding. We’re dying to get the photos finished so you can see for yourself how amazing they really are, so do check back soon!
