A Sparkly & Colourful Chinese Wedding: Cecilia&Tony
With some flamboyant dashes of colour and sparkles, an English afternoon tea and a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, Cecilia and Tony’s wedding was an awesome fusion of wedding cultures! Cecilia even managed to cram in two dress changes whilst we were there! We had an amazing day with this lovely couple and their families and friends, as did they of course!
We asked Cecilia&Tony to describe each other in three words.
Cecilia said; Charming, warm-hearted, loving
Tony said; Adorable, loving, kind
“Tony popped the question while having dessert after a fantastic meal in a small cosy French restaurant called Clos Maggoire in Convent Garden. But he did not get down on his knees!”

Nice, cosy, relaxed… “We didn’t want a formal wedding party. We preferred something nice, cosy, relaxed and also different to the other weddings. We used 5 months to organise the wedding, which I didn’t think was too bad.”

We had a great crowd… “We really enjoyed every moment of it. Perhaps, walking into the banqueting suite the first time as Mr & Mrs Chung was most memorable. We had a great crowd, they roared when we came in which gave a fantastic atmosphere.”
Wedding dress: Manoush- “It was found while I was window shopping in Paris.”
Wedding shoes: Kurt Geiger
♥ Stunning, colourful and wonderfully natural; they were a true reflection of our big day… ”When planning the wedding, it took just us two days to search and confirm the venue and registrar, thinking that everything was going so smoothly.
But then, we had terrible trouble finding a suitable photographer. We knew the style we wanted but it was so difficult to find the right photographer. We believe it was very important to find a perfect photographer to capture the biggest day of both our lives. We started off by asking our friends for recommendations, looking up magazines and spending hours on the internet looking through the portfolios and galleries. Even though there were plenty around, still nothing caught our eyes.”
“After two weeks of searching, which flew by, I was exhausted and felt I should compromise and just book a photographer. But then, Tony found Love My Dress wedding blog which had these amazing pictures taken by you guys. It was exactly the style we were looking for. We immediately contacted you and luckily it turned out that you were available, so we booked you straight away. In terms of the wedding plan, everything else was much easier afterwards and fell into place.
After meeting you guys in March at Downhall, we were more convinced that we made the right choice in trusting you to do the photo shoot.”
“On the big day, you guys were absolutely wonderful – you were very friendly, helpful and knowing exactly what to do. We didn’t need to explain anything or make any suggestions and we enjoyed our wedding with no obstructions at all. The photo shoot on the two of us in the garden was nice, fun and relaxed, which gave us a little peaceful time after a busy ceremony.
We couldn’t wait for the pictures but when we got them and saw the result they were exceptional. They were stunning, colourful and wonderfully natural; they were a true reflection of our big day. We were also most wonderfully surprised to see some unexpected shots of events during the day which we missed. These pictures will certainly remind us everlastingly of the happiest memories of our wedding.”
